LeFlore County Woman Safe After Getting Caught on Cattle Guard Overnight

LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) – A LeFlore County woman is safe  Monday morning (May 18th), after she went missing for several hours overnight.

Hazel Denton, 92, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, went missing from her home on Muse Lane around 3 a.m. Monday, according to LeFlore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan.

A silver alert was issued by the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office following Denton’s disappearance.

About five and a half hours later, Denton was found caught on a cattle guard about 100 feet away from the home at 8:30 a.m., Morgan said.

She was checked out by paramedics and talked with deputies before returning home.
