HOOVER, Ala (KFSM)- On a night where the Razorbacks couldn’t cash in on any opportunities Michael Bernal bailed them out in the ninth inning.

With two outs and the score tied 1-1 Bernal hit a walk-off double as No. 5 seed Arkansas beat No. 12 seed Tennessee 2-1 at the Hoover Met Tuesday night.

The Razorbacks grew more frustrated as the game went on, stranding 15 total runners on base.

SEC Player of the Year Andrew Benintendi left seven of those runners on himself. With the bases loaded in the fourth inning Benintendi struck out looking. In the sixth Arkansas had runners on the corners and Benintendi grounded out to end the threat.

The Hogs finally got on the board first in the seventh when a Rick Nomura ground out scored Tyler Spoon from third base.

Tennessee tied the game in the top of the eighth when Benito Santiago hit a double with two outs, scoring a runner from first.

Starting pitcher Trey Killian was then pulled from the game in favor of Zach Jackson.

Killian went 7.2 innings and allowed just four hits on the one earned run.

Jackson earned the win and struck out two of the four batters he faced.

Tyler Spoon led all Razorbacks with three hits.

Arkansas now plays No. 4 seed Florida Wednesday night at approximately 8:00 p.m.

The bracket format now moves to double elimination.
