ROGERS (KFSM) – A Texas woman was arrested Saturday night (May 23) on suspicion of shooting a man in the arm on purpose, according to police.

Police said they responded around 8:30 p.m. to 2118 W. Perry Road for a report of an accidental discharge of a firearm. Officers said they found a man identified as Jon C. Beers, 57, with a gunshot wound to his left arm.

Beers was transported to Mercy. His condition is not known at this time.

Investigators said they found that Vanessa Lambright, 36, purposefully pointed the .38-caliber firearm at Beers before it discharged. They said Lambright is a former family member of Beers. Lambright lives in Mesquite, TX.

Lambright is being held at the Benton County Jail pending a bond hearing, according to police. She is facing a felony charge of attempted first-degree murder.
