LAKE WISTER (KFSM) – Recent flooding hasn’t affected the Lake Wister water treatment plant or hindered its ability to provide safe drinking water, according to LeFlore County Emergency Management.

The only part of the plant the recent flooding has had any impact on is vehicle access into the facility, according to a news release.

Officials said they do not anticipate any further flood-related impacts to the facility.

“The [plant] has in place plans and procedures for maintaining staff and operations at the facility during flooding and other natural disaster,” the release states.
