Razorback Golfer Gaby Lopez Named First-Team All-American

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- University of Arkansas junior Gabriela Lopez earned Women’s Golf Coaches Association First-Team All-America honors, the organization announced Tuesday.

The selection is the third first-team honor for Lopez and she joins Stacy Lewis and Emily Tubert as the program’s only three-time first-team honorees.

Lopez finished runner-up in the NCAA Tournament at Concessions Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. where she posted a final round, bogey-free 66 on Monday.  Lopez is currently ranked No. 5 by Golfweek.com with a 70.54 rating through 11 events.  She has 50 wins against players in the top 25, 110 versus the top 50 and 213 against the top 100 players.

Lopez will have an exemption into next month’s Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship at Pinnacle Country Club.
