Arkansas sophomore Andrew Benintendi added to his list of awards Friday (June 12) after being named winner of the 2015 Dick Howser Trophy.

The award is given annually to the best player in college baseball. Benintendi led the SEC in batting average, home runs, on-base percentage, and slugging.

Just the day before, Benintendi was named as Baseball America’s National Player of the Year. He has also been named Collegiate Baseball’s National Player of the Year, as well as SEC Player of the Year. The outfielder is a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award.

Benintendi was drafted earlier in the week as the seventh overall pick by the Boston Red Sox, making him the third-highest drafted player in Arkansas program history.
