FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- The Arkansas Razorbacks Baseball team will face the University of Virginia in the College World Series on Saturday (June 13.)

Although the game is being played in Nebraska, many businesses along Dickson Street in Fayetteville are preparing for large crowds.

Businesses 5NEWS spoke with say they hope the hogs win for multiple reasons.

“If the hogs get knocked out early, it is going to hurt us a week later,” said Tim Farrell, owner of Farrell’s on Dickson. “Of course, as fans, we want to see them winning. But, as a business, it certainly helps a lot [to have wins.]”

Also near Dickson, Grubbs is hoping for a large turnout for game day as well. Some employees said the environment at the bars often attracts fans.

“It is a great environment. There is a lot of fun,” said Haley Robertson, a server at Grubbs. “People call the hogs all over the place. Everybody gets into it. It’s hard to hear because everyone is cheering, everyone is out of the seat. It’s just a really fun environment.”

Fans 5NEWS spoke with agree.

"It's the atmosphere. Fayetteville is crazy,” said Jackson Eldridge, a fan. “Everybody loves the hogs. It's good to be out amongst everybody.”
