One Dead After Fayetteville Motorcycle Accident

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A 21-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Fayetteville on Thursday (June 11), police say.

The man was identified as Steven Lear of Fayetteville, according to authorities. The incident took place on North Greg Avenue near East Elm Street, according to a news release.

He was driving a 2014 Honda CBR650 when he left the road to the east, striking a street sign and utility pole, police said.

Lear was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center and later succumbed to his injuries, the release states. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, according to authorities.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
