FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - Two recent child abuse cases have put Northwest Arkansas in the headlines. A Benton County jury convicted Zachary Holly on May 20th of
. Maurico and Cathy Torres
to capital murder and first-degree battery charges in the death of their six-year-old son Isiah. But, an organization is available to help abuse victims.
For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that ran Sunday (June 14), managing editor Larry Henry spoke to the Assistant Executive Director of the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County Natalie Tibbs. In this two part interview, she said that parents should be receptive to their children's concerns. She also played a video the center created to help people come forward.
