JOHNSON COUNTY (KFSM) – Former Clarksville Police Chief Greg Donaldson is set to become the new Johnson County jail administrator, he said.

Clarksville Mayor Mark Simpson fired Donaldson in February. Donaldson said he went to work for the Alma Police Department after being fired, but his last day with that department is Thursday (June 18). He said he’ll start his new position as jail administrator on Monday (June 22).

Donaldson said he was not given a reason for being fired from his position as police chief but suspects  it was because he wanted to fill three vacancies in the department over the mayor’s objection.
