LITTLE ROCK (KTHV) — About 30 University of Texas students who are biking their way to Alaska stopped by Little Rock to visit the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The University announced that the Texas 4000 team visited the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and UAMS Myeloma Institute Monday. The group is part of the longest annual charity bicycle ride in the world, a 4,000 mile trip from Austin, Texas, to Anchorage, Alaska.

The riders visit cancer treatment facilities to meet with survivors, patients and health care providers as part of their journey.
