VAN BUREN (KFSM) - Construction crews are hard at work in Van Buren where a new pediatric center is in the works. Once construction is complete, the facility will provide therapy services to children with all sorts of special needs.

In-Sync Pediatric Therapy Center will be built along Fayetteville Road. They're making the big move from their old facility over on Main Street. With this move, comes a lot more space.

The new building will be 6,000 square feet and provide the staff with a better lay out for their counseling and therapy services. In addition to helping kids with special needs overcome different obstacles, the facility will feature a physical therapy gym, high and low stimulation centery rooms, a state of the art feeding lab, and even an outside playground.

The 20 therapists that work at In-Sync help children with a range of disabilities from birth to the age of 21. They serve more than 300 children in the Arkansas, Oklahoma area.

With their new facility, the staff said they'll be able to extend their reach even further. "We are going to be able to accommodate more children and involve the parents into therapy so that's why they can come with their children and practice therapy with them," said owner Jocelyn Mitchelle.

According to Mitchelle, "There's a great need to serve children in this area and we are very excited to be part of it."

If everything goes as planned, the facility is set to open in November of 2015.

The price of the new facility comes in at just under $1 million. Mitchelle said they do plan to expand the facility with more service to offer children sometime in the future.
