Suspect Believed To Have Removed Money From Laundry Machines Still At Large

FORT SMITH (KFSM) – A man who appeared to break into several laundry machines at an Edgewood Apartments laundry facility is still missing, according to the Fort Smith Police Department.

The person of interest has been described as a white male between 25 and 35-years-old, and was last seen riding away on a bicycle, a release from the police department stated.

The unknown male entered the facility at 11 a.m. June 9, and after he left, several machines were found open with all the money removed, according to the release.

The release also stated the suspect appeared to have opened the machines with a key, and apartment management had reported several missing keys from its main office.

It is unknown how much money was reported missing from the machine.
