VAN BUREN (KFSM)- A local group sold Confederate flags at the Clover Leaf Plaza parking lot in Van Buren (June 27) despite some places banning flag sales.

The group, Dixie Customs, said they sold more than 100 flags and will continue selling the flags until they sell out.

The group said they don’t believe the flag is a symbol of racism, but rather a symbol of southern heritage.

The group had a Southern Pride cruise along Garrison Avenue in Fort Smith after selling.
