Youth Group In Ozark Benefits From United Way Funding

FORT SMITH (KFSM) - The United Way of Fort Smith will soon begin another fundraising campaign, and this week 5NEWS features the Ozark Area Youth Organization, which gets help from them.

For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Saturday (June 27), anchor Daren Bobb spoke to Board President Jerrod Burns. He said the youth organization benefits immensely from the United Way with the money they receive going towards helping kids.

Burns also said despite Ozark being a small town, they have have top notch facilities to cover children in nearby towns, including an after school program called "Reading Recovery" that assists kids struggling to read.
