FORT SMITH (KFSM) - Chaffee Crossing was set to host a block party before the summer season started to raise money for its memorial plaza, but rain postponed it.
For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Sunday (July 5), reporter Aubry Killion spoke to Ivy Owen of the Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority about the party's new date. Owen said the block party is now scheduled for Saturday, July 11, with the proceeds benefiting the Chaffee Crossing Historic District.
Tickets cost $10 for adults, while children 5 years old and under pay five dollars. Here's a link to our original interview with Owen.
