Man Hospitalized Following Fourth Of July Stabbing In Johnson County

LAMAR (KFSM)- A 19-year-old man had to be hospitalized Saturday (July 4) after he had been stabbed in the stomach during an altercation, according to a release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Johnson County deputies were called to Johnson Regional Medical Center at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in reference to a stabbing that had occurred near Lamar, the release states.

A 19-year-old man from Johnson County has been interviewed along with several witnesses, according to the release.

The sheriff’s office is withholding the name of the victim and the suspect since the investigation is ongoing.
