JOHNSON COUNTY (KFSM) – Johnson County deputies rescued a woman who became lost in a patch of woods during a storm on Tuesday (July 7), according to a news release.

At 6:16 p.m. on Tuesday, a fisherman called authorities to report that he’d found a man claiming his wife had gotten separated from him during a heavy rainstorm. The man said he and his wife were out hunting arrowheads in a nearby forest when they got split up, the release states.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded with a K-9 team, a dive team and a search and rescue team.

In less than two hours, the woman was found safe and unharmed, according to deputies.

She was then reunited with her husband.
