ARKANSAS/OKLAHOMA (KFSM)-Students still have roughly a month left of summer to enjoy, but before you know it, they’ll be heading back to school.

You’ve probably noticed stores already have school supplies out on display. While many families wait until the last minute, 1 in 4 parents have already started back-to-school shopping.

A new Consumer Pulse survey found more than half of parents will spend more this year on back-to-school shopping than they did last year. The report credits a better economy, online contributions and shoppers spreading out their spending more.

Arkansas’ tax free weekend will be held August 1 and 2. Oklahoma’s tax-free holiday will be August 7-9.
