“Fight Hunger, Spark Change” Campaign Gives Large Donation

FORT SMITH (KFSM) – A fundraising campaign to assist food banks in the April and May contributed nearly $30,000 to the River Valley Regional Food Bank.

The “Fight Hunger, Spark Change” effort from Walmart and its shoppers totaled $29, 4817.12 to the Fort Smith food bank, according to a Walmart press release.

The release also stated that the food bank received $120,000 to replace its Retail Recovery Unit that salvages food donations and no-longer-retail-salable goods from Walmart, Sam’s Club, Harp’s and other grocery retailers and restaurants in West Central Arkansas.
