PULASKI COUNTY (KFSM) – A former Arkansas and NFL running back was arrested  overnight on suspicion of promoting prostitution in the first degree.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department arrested Cedric Cobbs, 34, along with four other men and four women Thursday night or Friday morning (July 17).

According to an incident report, Cobbs drove a female to a hotel where she had made arrangements to have sex for money with an undercover officer.

While Cobbs waited in the vehicle, officers approached the car and discovered a meth pipe in the center console and another one in the female’s purse.

Cobbs was booked at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $500 bond.

His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 25.

Last year, Cobbs was arrested for not paying child support.

Cobbs played at Arkansas from 1999-2003. He went on to play for the NFL with both the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.
