Henry, Williams Lead Way For Hogs On Media’s All-SEC Teams

Arkansas tight end named All-SEC second team by media
Hunter Henry

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (KFSM) – It came as no surprise that Hunter Henry was named to the All-SEC teams by the media during SEC Media Days. However it came as a bit of a shock that the Little Rock native was not on the first team offensive squad.

Henry, who hauled in 37 passes for more than 500 yards last season as a sophomore, was named second team All-SEC by the media with the first team nod going to Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram.

Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams and offensive linemen Dan Skipper and Denver Kirkland were also named to the media’s second team while junior running back Alex Collins and offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola were named to the third team.

Senior quarterback Brandon Allen was not among those honored as Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott was named as first team quarterback while Auburn’s Jeremy Johnson was named to the second team and Tennessee’s Joshua Dobbs was named to the third team.

Junior linebacker Brooks Ellis was also left off all three team’s just days after being named to the Butkus Award watch list. Arkansas did not have a player on any of the three defensive teams.
