(NEW YORK POST) – Islamic State jihadis have forced a child to behead a Syrian army officer, according to the New York Post.

The extremists have increasingly turned to their “cubs of the Caliphate” into propaganda tools to carry out their deeds.

In a new video, a young boy is seen appearing to decapitate an officer, who is believed to have been a commander in the ancient city of Palmyra, according to the New York Post.

The execution is thought to have been carried out at the Western Hir Palace in the province of Homs after the officer was captured at the Al-Bosayri army checkpoint.
