LITTLE ROCK (KFSM) – The Arkansas Capitol building is scheduled to be closed on weekends due to construction, officials say.
Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin said that starting Saturday (July 25), the building would be closed on weekends and holidays due to safety concerns amid ongoing construction.
The building will remain closed on weekends and holidays through the fall when construction is expected to be completed. The Capital building is undergoing renovations on the north end of the building and on the first floor, officials said.
