Allen Named To Manning Award Watch List

Razorbacks’ QB one of 30 signal callers named to list

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -  Brandon Allen is set for his final season at quarterback for Arkansas and Thursday he was named to the Manning Award watch list.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl released the list of 30 players on the preseason award watch list that goes to the nation's top quarterback.

Allen is coming off his best season as a Razorback as he threw for 2,285 yards and 20 touchdowns with just five interceptions, the lowest from an Arkansas starting quarterback since 1992.

The Fayetteville native is second place on the active list in the SEC in career yards passing as he has 4,023 career yards and and is third with 34 touchdowns.

Arkansas has had eight players nominated in this summer on award watch lists.
