BELLA VISTA (KFSM) – The Bella Vista City Council will allow public input at their July 27 meeting when they discuss annexing some land near Gravette, officials say.

On Monday (July 27) at 6:30 p.m., the city council meeting will begin, and one of the items on the agenda is an ordinance to annex lands completely surrounded by the municipal limits of Bella Vista and Gravette.

As seen in the map below, the land that Bella Vista Alderman aim to annex is the Hole in the Wall Cave area near Plymouth Circle and Highland Road. The land is under Benton County jurisdiction, officials said.

Under Arkansas law, if a city plans to annex land, it must provide property owners 15 days notice by mail and by publication in a newspaper, according to the agenda. A public hearing must also be held for property owners to express their views on the annexation.

The Bella Vista City Council meeting is set to be held at the Bella Vista American Legion Post 341 at 1889 Bella Vista Way.
