Fort Smith Police Search For Armed Robbery Suspects

FORT SMITH (KFSM) –Police are searching for two men involved in an armed robbery at a Fort Smith home.

Dispatchers with Fort Smith Police said the robbery took place on 2216 North 7th Street around 1:00 a.m. Thursday (July 23).

The only items taken were a wallet and cell phone, according to Sgt. Daniel Grubbs. The phone was later recovered in an alley. The wallet had contained $100 and all of the victim’s identification.

The victim told officers that he was asleep when he heard his door being kicked in. By the time the victim made it out of his bed, the suspects had entered the home. He then said the two suspects entered his bedroom, one was armed with a pistol.

The two suspects were described as wearing bandanas over their faces and had left the scene when officers arrived.

According to officers, the two suspects are described as young African American men, last seen wearing white tank tops with jeans.

Dispatchers said that no one was injured in the robbery.
