Springdale Fireworks Stand Robbery Suspect Turns Self In

SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — A man turned himself into Fayetteville police Sunday (August 9) and confessed to robbing a Springdale fireworks stand, according to the Springdale Police Department.

Andrew Wallace, 21, told investigators he had robbed a fireworks stand on June 30 after holding a knife to a tent worker’s throat, according to an arrest report.

Wallace said he then stole about $200 from a cash register and an assortment of fireworks and broke a laptop and tablet before fleeing, the report states. There are no other suspects in the case, according to Springdale police.

Wallace is facing an aggravated robbery charge and is being held at the Washington County Detention Center on $25,000 bond, jail records show.
