FORT SMITH (KFSM) — An unrenewed lease is forcing the Hamburger Barn on Garrison Avenue in Fort Smith to close its doors by Aug. 31, according to Shaney Salsman, the owner of the restaurant.
Salsman said they were informed about a month ago by the owners of the building that their lease would not be renewed and they would have to move out. The restaurant has been located in downtown Fort Smith since 1982.
Salsman said she is looking at options for the future, but is unsure of where or when the Hamburger Barn would relocate.
