Fort Smith Police Search For Stabbing Suspect

FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The Fort Smith Police Department was searching for a stabbing suspect Wednesday (August 26) accused of stabbing a man in the abdomen, according to a release from police.

Police are looking for Roger Blasingame, 41, after officers were called to a hospital Tuesday in response to a stabbing victim at the emergency room, who was later identified as Jeremy Smith, 45, the release states.

The investigation showed the stabbing happened during an argument in the parking lot of the Fort Smith Motel located at 2312 Midland Boulevard, according to the release.

An arrest warrant for second-degree battery with a $10,000 bond was issued for Blasingame, the release states. The suspect is known to have ties to Fort Smith and Crawford County, according to the release.
