HUNTINGTON (KFSM) — A man is in custody following an altercation at an apartment complex Wednesday evening (August 26).

William L. Bowen, 27, was arrested on suspicion of second degree battery.

Sebastian County Sheriff Bill Hollenbeck said a woman was stabbed in the neck with a knife around 7 p.m. and taken to a Fort Smith Hospital after a fight broke out at the Kitchenette Apartments on Highway 71 South.

She was later treated and released after suffering non-life threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office said an investigation is ongoing, as some of the subjects involved fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
