SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — Two Benton County Officers volunteered to rebuild part of a Springdale woman’s broken fence.

Janell Kirkwood, an 84-year-old great-grandma, sent a letter to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office that was later posted to their Facebook page. In it, she commends deputies Dustin Carlton and Joe Pruitt for fixing a portion of her fence.

“Sheriff Cradduck, you employ a special group of people that do accept the responsibility, feel obligated to do their best and know employers are depending on them for a great return of service,” Kirkwood said. “These young deputies went way beyond their job description they have on file at your department.”
