BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — A woman is dead and a man has been released from a hospital following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday (Sept. 2).
Bentonville police stated in a release Barbara Pahnke was transported to a Northwest Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Pahnke, of Centerton, was driving a 2002 Dodge Neon and believed to be exiting a driveway into a lane of traffic on US 71 Business/SE Walton Boulevard, according to the release.
Brian Bowen, of Avoca, was driving a 2011 Nissan Titan and swerved to the outside lane of eastbound US 71 Business, west of the S.E.C intersection, in order to avoid Pahnke’s vehicle, according to the release.
Bowen was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was treated and released, the release stated.
The police release stated no citations were issued.
