(KFSM) — A new initiative by the National Park Foundation called Every Kid in a Park allows every fourth grader in the country and their families to get a free pass to all national parks, forests and wildlife refuges in the U.S.
The initiative started Tuesday (Sept. 1). The Every Kid in a Park pass is good for the 2015-2016 school year, until Aug. 31, 2016.
Passes are also available for fourth-grade teachers and each of their students.
Information about how to get a pass is available here.
