There's now an indoor workout that includes a surfboard. A new facility known as City Surf Fitness combines fitness and fun without having to make a trip to the beach.

The unique fitness program offers sixteen types of classes helping the clients get ripped surfer's bodies. The first City Surf Fitness opened in Dallas in February 2012, but there are now two Dallas locations as well as one in Austin. Lauren McHenry, the co-founder, says, "People seem to like the ability to surf while on dry land."

It is all about balance, maintaining your balance while on the board. McHenry says that clientele mainly consists of young adults, but people in their 30s, 40s, and even kids as young as ten have gotten into their programs.
