ALMA (KFSM) — Students at Alma Schools are busy preparing for a special ceremony in honor of the 9/11 attacks Friday night as they take on the Springdale Bulldogs.

“Our game is on Sept. 11, which is one of those days where we all remember where we were when that morning occurred,” explained Assistant Superintendent Mike McSpadden. “So, we are going to do some things in our pregame ceremony to both remember that event and celebrate our freedoms, celebrate our patriotism.”

Several different groups, including the NJROTC, football team, dance team, cheer team, and color guard are all taking part in the pre-game ceremony. It starts at 6:35 p.m. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
