FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A dental office in Fort Smith is offering free services to those in need Friday (Sept. 11).
It’s all happening at My Dentist, located at 6323 Rogers Avenue, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Dentists taking part said they plan to perform all sorts of procedures including routine cleanings, fillings or even extractions, at no cost to the patient.
“Our mouth is pretty much connected to everything in our body,” explained Dr. Brenda Donato, who works at My Dentist. “Everything that goes through our mouth affects everything in our bodies, so not having current dental care will obviously make people more prone to different diseases.”
Appointments are not necessary. Patients just have to show up to receive the free care they need. Dentists said they plan to see as many patients as possible in the six-hour window.
