Fort Smith (KFSM) -- A Veteran who served in three wars will be laid to rest Monday (Sept. 9th) at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.

A celebration ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. for RussellĀ  "Buck" Chambers at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

A formal ceremony will also be held at the National Cemetery.

Chambers family says everyone is invited.

Chambers began his time overseas with the Navy fighting in World War II when he was just 15-years-old. After five years of service on the seas, he decided to join the Army. He fought in both Korea and Vietnam before retiring in 1969.
