FORT SMITH (KFSM) - Students at a local high school are working together to donate supplies to the Sebastian County Animal Shelter.

Students at Southside High School in Fort Smith were asked to bring food and other supplies to the Pause for Paws Campaign. All of the items were on a wish list made by the shelter, which is struggling for funding right now. One of the campaign organizers, Kate Truitt, says it feels good to help out.

The class that collected the most items received a doughnut party. Truitt says that one class managed to collect about 130 items for the animal shelter.
