Springdale Woman Arrested After Deadly Hit-And-Run

SPRINGDALE (KFSM)- A man is dead and a woman is injured after being hit by a car while attempting to cross the street Saturday morning (Sept. 26), according to police.

Police said 47-year-old Hector Regalado Sandoval was pronounced dead at the scene. They said the woman with him, Emma Rivera, was injured and taken to a local hospital. They said the incident happened at Robinson and Thompson around 12:30 a.m.

Police said the person driving the car left the scene of the accident. They said by looking at surveillance video, they identified 37-year-old Griselda Arrue as the driver of the white passenger car.

Investigators said Arrue confessed to hitting the victims and leaving the scene of the accident.

Police said Arrue is facing a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident, as well as a misdemeanor charge of negligent homicide. According to the Washinton County Jail website, Arrue will appear in court Wednesday morning (Sept. 30).

Her bond has not yet been set.
