SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) — Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a second suspect on Friday (Oct. 2) for the investigation into the death of a Sequoyah County man on Wednesday (Sept. 30).

Deputies arrested Kyle Majors, of Vian, Oklahoma on suspicion of accessory to second degree murder and obstruction, said Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart.

The victim, Dane Crum, 31, was found unconscious Tuesday (Sept. 29) around 7:35 p.m. on a garage floor and was transported to the hospital in critical condition, according to the sheriff. The man appeared to have suffered trauma to the face and head, which led to his death just after 8 a.m. Wednesday, Lockhart said.

Thursday morning, the department found that Majors had lied about his involvement in the case after surveillance video showed Majors using the victim’s credit card.

Deputies already arrested Michael Buster, 23, on Wednesday after they found him near the victim. Buster is facing a second-degree murder charge after interviews with investigators.

Majors is being held in the Sequoyah County Jail with no bond.
