FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- The president and CEO of the Arkansas World Trade Center helped organize a visit for Asa Hutchinson to Cuba. Dan Hendrix, says now that the door for trade with Cuba is slowly opening, the organization worked hard to put together the delegation that went to Cuba last week.

Hendrix said, "'We have to follow up on various things. One of the things we`re following up on is the poultry issue and we have several companies that have significant meetings and they will be following up and making subsequent trips there and we will probably be going back there in the first quarter of 2016."

Hendrix added the delegation invited Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson on the trip and he accepted. Along with the Governor, the Arkansas World Trade Center group was made up of early 50 people representing 17 different business sectors and 19 Arkansas companies.

The biggest exports the delegation is hoping to send to Cuba in the future are poultry and rice, both of which Arkansas has plenty.
