Man Hit By Vehicle Crossing Highway 71 In Springdale

SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — A man was taken to the hospital Tuesday (Oct. 6) after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing Thompson Street (Highway 71) in Springdale, according to police.

Dean Bell, 55, was crossing the street near a Sonic that is near the intersection of Thompson Street and Porter Avenue and was not in a crosswalk, police said.

The Springdale man was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center and remains in critical condition, according to police.

Police are not planning to issue any citations or file any charges against the driver.

The investigation is still ongoing.
