FORT SMITH (KFSM) — The 25-year-old missing woman, Brittany Tipton, has been found, according to police. She was interviewed by investigators. Tipton told police that she was not taken against her will.

According to an earlier press release, Fort Smith Police responded at 2:11 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 6) to a home on Brazil Avenue. The caller reported to dispatchers that she had just arrived home from a trip to Houston, Texas when she noticed a white, four-door car parked in front of her residence, police said. The caller described the vehicle as being similar to an older model Chevy Caprice with wire rims.

The caller then told police that her roommate, Brittany Tipton, appeared to be forced into the car by two men believed to be Johnathan James Slaughter (JJ Slaughter) and Alonzo Lee Releford, Jr. (Zoe Releford). All three left the area, according to the release. All involved parties are believed to know one another.
