FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Award-winning children’s author Lois Lowry will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday (Oct. 7) to kick off a literary festival by Fayetteville Public Library.

True Lit: Fayetteville’s Literary Festival will be Oct. 7-10. Lowry will begin speaking at 7 p.m. at the library.

Lowry is a two-time Newbery Medal winner for her books “The Giver” and “Number the Stars.” She’s written more than 40 books, which have sold millions of copies worldwide.

The True Lit festival will feature numerous authors, writing workshops and art displays at multiple venues around Fayetteville.
