Couple Found Dead In Eureka Springs, Deaths Ruled Double Suicide

EUREKA SPRINGS (KFSM) — The deaths of a man and woman found near a vehicle in Eureka Springs were ruled a double suicide Friday (Oct. 9), according to the Eureka Springs Police Department.

The bodies of Tracey Deann Turner, 46, and Ricky Gene Ketcher, 56, were found Oct. 3 in a wooded area just east of Oil Springs Road, according to police.

Turner died from a shotgun sound to the chest and Ketcher died from a shotgun wound to the head, according to the medical examiner’s report.

An investigation revealed the two had left written information to help authorities locate and notify their families, according to police. It appears that Turner and Ketcher planned to take their lives together, police state.
