Police Say Gas Leak On Campus Was A False Alarm

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — University of Arkansas Police said a gas leak reported near the school’s chemistry building was a false alarm.

A gas leak had previously been located in the chemistry building area, according to the University of Arkansas’ emergency alert system.

The alert stated for anyone nearby to avoid central campus between Dickson Street, Arkansas Avenue, Maple Street, and Garland Avenue.

Crews were on scene and administering aid to students.
