FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The Volunteer Action Center at the University of Arkansas is hosting a book drive to help improve literacy in Arkansas youths.

The books will be distributed to six schools in Arkansas: Dermott Elementary in Dermott, William Jefferson Clinton Primary in Hope, Carroll Smith Elementary in Osceola, Chicot Elementary in North Little Rock, Parson Hills Elementary in Springdale, and Westwood Elementary in Springdale, as well as Fayetteville Head Start.

Their goal is to collect 25,000 books to donate by Oct. 24, helping more than 2,300 Arkansas students, according to a VAC article.
