FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- A Fayetteville man is facing a felony robbery charge after stealing merchandise from IGA and threatening to shoot the employee if they stopped him, according to police.

Police said Christopher Williams, 46, is behind bars at the Washington County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. Williams is also facing a terroristic threatening charge.

According to a report, the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 17). Police said they talked to Williams at a homeless camp on Curtis Ave, but he denied robbing the store.

Police said they found IGA chicken at the camp, as well as the shirt he was wearing during the incident. According to the jail’s website, Williams will appear in court on Nov. 20.
