LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — The county emergency management office has announced a burn ban, effective until Oct. 26, according to a press release.
Director Michael Davidson stated that dry conditions have “resulted in a drastic increase in the occurrence of grass and wild land fires.”
The LeFlore County Board of Commissioners enacted week-long ban, set to expire at 9 a.m. next Monday, unless conditions do not improve and the ban is re-issued.
